I cry over spilled Janelles

Friends & Family…..
I woke up to one of those messages everyone dreads….someone you love has gotten in an accident….
My lovely Janelle Carter flew over the handlebars of her bike this morning on her way to work. She was wearing a helmet, but she still sustained a pretty intense head injury. They operated on her to release the blood around the brain & they removed her spleen, which was the only bodily injury. She’s going to be OK, but she’s unconscious in the ICU on a ventilator, which she could be on for several days……
I’m writing this through very teary eyes (yeah I’m a crybaby, don’t be a hater)…but I thought you should know.
1/3 Trifecta and a whole lot of my heart is in the hospital right now, and I’m having a hard time feeling like the show must go on….but I know that Janelle is so very proud of this work that she would want you to go and see it. She told me just last night when we were hanging the show, this show is the best show she has ever done (and since I have done most of them with her, I can attest to that very same feeling). That is also why Carla (of mullet pony) and I can’t even imagine doing the opening without her, this is the work of Trifecta…. but I know, I definitely know she would want it to go on, but without sadness….
SO…..
I am going to wear Turquoise tonight, Janelle’s favorite color (and you all should too, color is important)….
hang out with some artwork that my favorite people created….
listen to good music…..
drink wine….
and think of Janelle and be happy she is in my life….
