I’m going to paint now
I can’t imagine
losing either parent
or even seeing them
seriously injured
(and this coming
from me:
the notorious rebel
of the family
when really I’m
scared of everything)
I’m sorry
so very sorry
can’t take for granted
who & what is
in your life
because it can
all be taken away
in a few seconds
forever
and i am listening to
frank black in case
